Sunlight Supply Breaks Ground on New Industrial Building
Project Groundbreaking • January 8, 2016
With just days to go before we break ground on Sunlight Supply’s new facility, we thought we would give you a sneak peek at what we have in store for Centennial Industrial Park’s first industrial building. VLMK has worked with Sunlight Supply’s President, Craig Hargreaves, for more than a decade on many of Sunlight Supply’s separate facilities in Washington State. This new, state-of-the-art building will consolidate Sunlight Supply’s operation into one efficient location for the growing manufacturer.
“Their staff built our first building for us back in 2001. John and I have done many projects together since those days- additions, remodels and so forth. I have a great relationship with VLMK. They have designed and engineered a great building.” – Craig Hargreaves, Sunlight Supply President
The Port of Vancouver invested $5.3 million in infrastructure work in 2013 on about half of the 108-acre Centennial Industrial Park where Sunlight Supply will develop its 15.5 acre property. Sunlight Supply, Inc., is a Vancouver, WA based manufacturer and distributor of specialty gardening supplies with over 5,000 different products includes everything needed for indoor, hydroponic, organic and greenhouse gardening.
The 306,000 square-foot building will feature local Northwest finishes including timber canopies soaring 22 feet high at all the major entrances, natural landscaping throughout the exterior and a spectacular water feature at the guest entrance. Throughout the planning process, it was clear that the Sunlight Supply executive team had their employees’ interest and happiness in mind for many of the interior decisions. Employees will enjoy a 3,000 square-foot lunch area, a 1,500 square-foot fitness room, outdoor gazebo and picnic area and a half-sized basketball court.
