Justin is an accomplished Structural Engineer and Senior Project Manager with a background that encompasses the design and analysis of structures in a variety of building sectors and structural systems.  Much of Justin’s current work is focused in the commercial and retail sectors involving new and existing buildings which requires him to hold a firm understanding in each of the four common construction materials; wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.

His expertise includes the rehabilitation of existing structures, structural design of reinforced masonry buildings, complex light framed wood and heavy timber structures, and complicated light-gage (cold formed) steel elements.  Justin possesses excellent relational and communication skills and puts them to good use with clients and colleagues alike while managing multiple projects and multiple staff members.

Justin joined VLMK after earning his Master’s degree from Portland State University. A proud father of four, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, jamming out on bass or acoustic  guitar and stays involved with local sports in the David Douglas School District. Justin is also a hard core Portland Timbers’ fan!
