VLMK worked alongside Woodblock Architecture and Deacon Construction on the Modern Times Brewing expansion project located on 630 SE Belmont. The micro-brewery expansion consisted of a full seismic upgrade, shell renovation, and tenant improvement to existing 20,000 Sq. Ft. building constructed in the mid-1920’s. The space includes new tap room, restaurant, and roof top deck.

The high ceilings in the main level feature exposed heavy timber beams, new bar with 34 taps, commercial kitchen, merchandising space, elevator, and restrooms. The new roof top deck area which includes more taps, restrooms, gas fire pits, heaters, and merchandising is accessed by a structural steel stair that is suspended from the roof structure above. The space features aesthetically pleasing art interiors which highlight an image of Randy Machoman Savage.
