Standard Bag Manufacturing Expansion
Size: 60,300 SF | Location: Beaverton, OR | Client: Standard Bag
Standard Bag Manufacturing Company, a private minority owned bag manufacturer, expanded their manufacturing facility in Beaverton, Oregon to include a new 60,300 Sq. Ft. warehouse facility that will store their raw goods, rolled paper, and rolled plastic products prior to the manufacturing process in the existing 93,600 Sq. Ft. building.
The new warehouse is connected to the existing manufacturing building by a covered “breezeway” that will protect the paper when it is moved by forklift to the manufacturing area in the existing building. A 4,700 Sq. Ft. office space is located in the new warehouse building with a storage mezzanine over the office, open to the warehouse. This mezzanine was designed to be converted to another 3,000 Sq. Ft. of office in the future. The new building features concrete tilt up walls with an open-web steel roof structure. The roof deck will be a wood deck with 2x sub purlins with rigid insulation and a 4-ply built up roof.
An existing regional stormwater quality pond was improved and enlarged to handle runoff from the full build-out of the Merlo Station subdivision, encompassing approximately 33.66 acres. The runoff generated from these areas will be collected and routed to the new water quality/water quantity control extended dry detention pond for treatment.
